You'll know why they're coming before they arrive.

Clients complete an intake before they book, and it reaches you with the appointment. You can read it in advance and shape the consultation around what they've actually written, rather than spending it gathering basics.

The unpaid hours

The work between someone finding you and sitting down

We can't tell you how many clients will find you here. What we can tell you is what happens after they do.

UsuallyAn enquiry email before anything is booked

HereThey read your profile and book a time you're free

UsuallyA few messages back and forth to find a time

HereNo email needed before the first session

UsuallyIncomplete Intake

HereTheir intake arrives with the booking

UsuallyYour listing in one place and your calendar in another

HereBooking, video, payment and clinical records in one place

UsuallyTime held for someone who doesn’t show, with nothing to charge for it

HereLate cancellations and no-shows are charged automatically, at the same 24-hour rule for everyone

UsuallyA monthly bill for all of it, busy or not

HereNothing to pay in a month you don't work

Good software already handles a lot of this. What it can't do is put you in front of anyone. A directory can, then it stops at an email address and leaves the rest to you. Here they're the same system, and a quiet month costs you nothing.

Your practice

We give you tools. We don't restrict you

You take on the clients you want and turn down the ones you don't. Nobody is assigned to you.

You set your rates, your session length, your notes format, your cancellation terms. We don't review your clinical work.

There is no exclusivity requirement.

Getting started

Four steps, start to first session

The tools and the listing are the same system. One login for both.

Getting booked

Profile · Calendar · Availability · Consultations

Your profile carries your registration, approaches, rates, languages and formats, in your own words. Clients see your live availability and book the slot themselves. Nothing needs confirming by email, and nobody is offered a time you can't take.

Before the session

Client intake · Reminders

The client's intake arrives with the booking, so you can read it in advance rather than spending the consultation gathering basics.

The session itself

Video · In person · Secure messaging · Session length you set

Video runs in the platform, so there's no meeting link to generate, send, or explain to someone who has never used it. If you work in person, your address and any access notes sit on your profile instead of in an email you rewrite every week.

Afterwards

Payment · Receipts · Notes · Clinical Records

Payment is taken at booking through the payment processor, so there's no invoicing and nothing to chase. Receipts carry your name, designation and registration number, which is what most extended health plans ask for. Notes and documentation are stored securely.

Records and bookings

How this works if you leave

You remain responsible for your clients' clinical records under the health privacy legislation that applies where you practise. The notes and records you create here are yours professionally, and are held in the platform on your behald. They aren't exported. They're retained for as long as your regulatory college and legislation requires and then securely destroyed.

Client accounts stay with Spurose. Bookings, messages, and payment history made on the platform live here, so they don't transfer out with you if you stop practising on Spurose.

What it costs

$0in a month you don't take a session

Who can list, and how

Registered Psychotherapists including Qualifying, Registered Social Workers, Psychologists and Psychological Associates, and Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses working in mental health.

You'll need your registration details, your rates and availability, a profile in your own words, and a payment account connected. You'll need your own professional liability insurance , and your own clinical supervision if you're in supervised practice.

Questions

What providers ask us

How do I get clients here?

Clients browse the directory and book with you directly. No matching system and no intake team routing people, so your profile does the work. Think of this as another way for the right clients to find you, alongside whatever you're already doing.

Can I charge differently for different services?

Yes. Sessions, and assessments can each be priced separately. Consultations are free across the platform and can’t be priced.

Is the platform secure?

Data is stored in Canada and handled under Canadian privacy law. Messaging and video are encrypted, and documentation is stored securely. Some services the platform relies on are operated by companies based outside Canada. See the privacy policy for more.

Who holds the clinical records?

You do. Spurose provides the software they’re held in, nothing more.

How does your fee work?

No joining fee, no monthly cost, and nothing to pay in a month you don't work. We take 20% of each session fee, and that's the only thing we charge. If a session doesn't happen, we're not paid either.

Can I keep my other listings?

Yes. There's no exclusivity requirement.

What if I need more information that the standard intake provided?

The standard intake gives you a general sense of client’s concern before you meet, so the consultation can start smoothly. It’s a starting point, not a limit. Once the session begins you’re free to gather any additional information and proceed as you normally would in your own practice.

When do I get paid?

Payments run through the payment processor to your connected account after each session. Payout is every 7 days.
