About Me
Hi, I’m Jill. I am ready to support you with practical skills, compassion, and connection as you journey to make your life more manageable and to feel more like yourself again.
As a registered social worker, I bring over 11 years of clinical experience providing trauma informed therapy, assessment, crisis support, and advocacy in a variety of settings including within hospitals, health care centres, residential settings, and schools. I often work with individuals who are navigating stress stemming from current or past life experiences including caregiver stress and chronic illness. I have extensive experience supporting individuals as they navigate the impact of trauma and grief and the management of anxiety disorders.
I value forming a therapeutic relationship that meets you where you are, honours your expertise and strengths, and moves at a pace that feels safe, supportive, and meaningful. My approach to therapy has also grown from my personal experiences. As someone who spent a long time prioritizing overachieving and seeking perfection academically and professionally, I encountered a period of time in which I was forced to slow down and re-prioritize while I navigated chronic illness. Through this experience, my perspectives shifted, and I came to understand the importance of being intentional with my therapy practice to ensure I focus on meaningful, relational intervention.
I know ongoing stressors and competing priorities can often lead to your personal needs being pushed further down your to do list. You have been working so hard and managing so much, but you don’t have to do it alone anymore. Let therapy be a space to put down the weight you’ve been carrying. I welcome you to reach out to me when you feel ready.
